The Chauvet Cave

The Chauvet Cave, a major discovery in France, has revolutionized our understanding of the relationship between the Aurignacians and art, as well as their environment, revealing artistic gestures dating back 36,000 years.

As part of the life-size replica project, Kaléo has designed several audiovisual devices to enrich the scenographic journey. A short film, featuring realistic 3D animations, explores the cave, artistic gestures, the life of hunters, and the Aurignacians. In addition, interactive portrait-format kiosks, featuring interviews with specialists, provide deeper insight into the themes related to the cave, prehistoric art, and the environment of the time.
